Refracto is a practical utility designed for homebrewers, facilitating the conversion of refractometer readings between °Brix, °Plato, and specific gravity (SG) during the fermentation process. Moreover, it intelligently adjusts for the impact of alcohol content on beer fermentation.

Utilizing Refracto is a straightforward process: input your original refractometer measurement (pre-fermentation) and your current reading with a simple swipe. The tool swiftly provides the following computations:

Original gravity in °Plato and SG
Apparent final gravity in °Plato and SG
Apparent attenuation
Alcohol by volume

Furthermore, users can switch between four computation modes:

Standard
Linear formula according to Petr Novotný
Quadratic formula according to Petr Novotný
Linear formula according to Sean Terrill
Cubic formula according to Sean Terrill

When using this application, it is essential to have not only the app but also a refractometer with a Brix scale. Refracto supports refractometer readings in the range of 0 to 50 °Bx.
