Refracto is a practical utility designed for homebrewers, facilitating the conversion of refractometer readings between °Brix, °Plato, and specific gravity (SG) during the fermentation process. Moreover, it intelligently adjusts for the impact of alcohol content on beer fermentation.

Utilizing Refracto is a straightforward process: input your original refractometer measurement (pre-fermentation) and your current reading with a simple swipe. The tool swiftly provides the following computations:

• Original gravity in °Plato and SG
• Apparent final gravity in °Plato and SG
• Apparent attenuation
• Alcohol by volume

Furthermore, users can switch between four computation modes:

• Standard
• Linear formula according to Petr Novotný
• Quadratic formula according to Petr Novotný
• Linear formula according to Sean Terrill
• Cubic formula according to Sean Terrill

When using this application, it is essential to have not only the app but also a refractometer with a Brix scale. Refracto supports refractometer readings in the range of 0 to 50 °Bx.
